What it actually is
Real neighborhood, not a theme park. Houses split into apartments, older stock with yards, plus student group rentals that turn over every summer. Those two products share streets. Tuesday at 10 a.m. can feel calm. Football Saturday is a different place. Tour both if the lease matters.
Downtown vs West Side
Downtown: walkable errands, mixed renters, tighter parking, nights vary by block → downtown Binghamton apartments
West Side: more house-shaped living, porch/driveway odds, higher student density on some streets, more car-needed errands.
