Binghamton’s West Side is west of the Chenango River and includes residential streets and Recreation Park. Housing and daily routes vary by block; the neighborhood name alone does not tell you whether an apartment fits your needs.
Check the route to work or class, grocery trips, laundry, utility costs, parking, and the lease term. Visit at the hours you expect to be home and inspect the unit itself.
Use city resources for services and parking notices, BC Transit for bus routes, and FEMA for flood information at the address. Do not infer a property’s flood risk from a neighborhood label.
