Binghamton University’s main campus in Vestal, Downtown Center, and Johnson City health-sciences buildings are different destinations. Start with the building where you actually need to arrive.
Use the university transportation pages for current OCCT routes, service calendars, eligibility, and campus parking information. Broome County Transit publishes its own routes, schedules, fares, and service notices. Do not assume the two systems use the same calendar or rules.
Plan door-to-door time: walk to the stop, allow for waiting and transfers, and check the return trip after your final class or shift. Try the trip at your usual travel time before choosing an apartment.
Check evening, weekend, and university-break service separately. Have a backup plan for missed service or severe weather; a housing listing should not be your source for a current bus timetable.
Use the off-campus housing checklist for lease and roommate decisions; this worksheet focuses on the journey itself.
