OCCT Bus to BU Main Campus: A Realistic Commute Breakdown
OCCT is free with a BU ID. The route works. But "15 minutes to campus" is not the whole story — here is how the bus actually fits into your week.
Downtown housing for BU undergrads — walk to the downtown center, ride the OCCT shuttle to main campus.

Living off-campus is a different deal than the dorms. Bigger room. Real kitchen. Lease in your name. For a lot of BU students — especially after sophomore year — that trade is worth it. Our buildings are walking distance from the Downtown Center and a four-minute ride from main campus on the OCCT shuttle.

Some are grad students who want to be downtown but not in the BU graduate housing complex. The two- and three-bedroom apartments — $1,250 to $1,850 split among roommates — work out to $500 to $700 a head, which beats living in a dorm and gives you your own kitchen.
We do twelve-month leases. We do not pro-rate for summer if you leave early. We do allow you to sublet with our approval. If you and your roommates want to renew for a second year, we drop your rent by 2% as a thank-you for not making us re-list.
We sign 12-month leases. We allow subletting with our approval if you leave town for the summer.
Yes, or a domestic co-signer. International students without U.S. credit history need someone on the lease who has it.
