Ask for the list: heat, electric cap, Wi-Fi, trash, furniture, parking. Also: academic-year vs 12 months; joint-and-several on the lease; summer sublet; deposit return; quiet hours in writing.

How students get burned

Signing because a friend did. One tour. Ignoring the block at night. Guarantor talk too late. Pets assumed from a porch dog.

Do this: tour two neighborhoods, read the lease sober, put parking/utilities in email. "This won't last" is a sales line.
